BOLGATANGA PROJECT
Bolgatanga is the capital of the Upper East Region which is one of the poorest areas in Ghana.
The aim of the project is improved the nurse training in Bolgatanga with the desired outcome of improved patient care.
Carol Clark one of our Elder has established the project with staff and friends of the Bolgatanga Hospital and Community Health Centres based in the local villages. An example is the purchase of bags of rice to feed the children of families with few resources in one of the villages. Malnutrition is a major problem for many in Bolgatanga.
CASTLE GREEN FOOTBALL TEAMS
Ian Chappell one of our member is the Chairman of the Football Club which has two teams playing in the Bristol Churches’ League. The aim of the League is to promote the Christian faith and values. The Church supports the Chairman in all possible ways, including hosting the Club’s annual Awards service.
